History:
a couple of days ago and decided to retire my old dvd player a new one.
Then I headed to the home page Garbarino, Fravega and mob Musimundo to start what were the options to choose from.
The truth need not walk "too much", since the basic function that was looking to watch movies on DVD and ready. But of course that was to accompany a brand known for elegant design and support any extra little thing that might come, the better.
I came across a little model of Samsung player, the DVD-P172 which had a price say "accessible" from a known brand, and what I liked most of all, design.
What I came to call some attention is that in all the pages you visit (Fravega-Musimundo-Garbarino) put it on the leading-section recommended, it seems that he had enough faith in the product. ... or not ...
2 Problems I had with the Samsung DVD-P172 player:
Leaving aside the price, and I love the design, there were two things I have to criticize this product.
- Poor quality lens / laser:
As I prepared to plug in and everything, and I put my first dvd, I see that after a few seconds to try and try to read me spits. And it was only a dvd but as with 10! (I experimented with 100 DVD's of films which had 10% failed the test ..)
One may think well, maybe they were very poorly recorded, but the funny thing is that my old dvd that it was for retirement, read without much difficulty!
That makes me think that the quality of the lens model Samsung DVD-P172 is not of good quality (taking into account the cost of the product and the brand is.)
- Wireless Remote Control volume button:
If I find this funny, because when you buy the product, of course I could check if he was "all in order" and also look at the control. But the last thing I would imagine it would not bring the button to control volume.
I will have been half an hour watching the remote control, convinced he must be somewhere, I'm still looking ...
That failure I have not checked more carefully, but honestly I never would have thought they were going to mess up so fulero in not putting the volume on your remote control.
After detecting these two "flaws" was when I got to thinking if that's why they put this dvd player as "recommended" to remove them from up faster.
Well, I did this little review in case someone like me who also has in mind to buy a DVD player and still is somewhat uncertain, at least know that if you are going to choose the model of Samsung DVD-P172 take into account that leaves something to be desired in the quality of the laser / lens (at least mine) and that does not come with volume control on the remote control.
